A Little Too Much To Eat

Sophie sometimes overindulges a little too much during meals. ;-D Wow, I think if this were real, she'd be in the 180th percentile for weight at her next check-up! Joseph and I were having a little too much fun with her and her pink ball.

Gimee Thumb Lovin'

Sophie just began sucking her thumb a couple of weeks ago, but it helps her sleep so much better that we're okay with it. It's her left thumb, so we think she may be left-handed like her Grandpa Lamb and Uncle Willis, or maybe even ambidextrous like Aunt Jeniann. Sophie also sometimes grabs her ear with her right hand while she sucks her thumb and looks like the evil Prince John on Disney's "Robin Hood" (Mama!) All we know is that she sure loves sucking it a lot!

I'm a True (Half) Lamb!

In Becky's family her dad would always test to see if the babies were "true Lambs" by holding them up by their feet in the palm of his hand, and if they could stand, they passed the test. Here's Joseph trying it out with Sophie, who really could do this over a month ago. She passed--whew! Sophie can also sit up all by herself, at least in the frog position. She's 5 months old today, too! What a big girl!

I Found My Toes!

It's taken me a while, but I finally discovered my toes today. I think part of the reason it took me so long was because I hardly ever have a chance to see them! Because it's winter, my parents keep them covered up pretty well, but I found them at last and even managed to stick them in my mouth once or twice. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.:D

Sophie Jump-Up

Sophie hasn't exactly learned how to bounce in the Jonny Jump-Up yet, but she sure loves to sit in it and swing herself around. It's great excercise, especially to get rid of those wonderful thunder thighs she's got going. :D (Just kidding! We're glad she's got a little fat on her!)

First Solid Food!

Even though Grandma Lamb has been secretly trying to get Sophie to eat solids for some time now :D Sophie tried rice cereal for the first time today. She was surprised at first, seemed to like the first few bites, but then tired of it pretty quickly, so we only got a few tastes in.

Twins

Sophie and mommy inadvertantly ended up matching for church today. Like mother, like daughter, I guess.

Disco Fever

We went to a Disco Party and Sophie was the grooviest baby there in her hippie jeans. She also would have been the Dancing Queen, but it was more like the Drooling Queen by the end of the night.

"My Funny Valentine"

Sophie was truly our sweetheart for Valentine's Day this year. Here she is sporting her cute Valentine's outfit. She was fascinated by the balloons we got for the occasion and couldn't take her eyes of them.

4 Months Old

Sophie is 4 months old and growing quickly! At her well baby visit yesterday she measured 26 inches long and 14 lbs. 14 oz. She's almost doubled her birth weight, and she's in the 75th percentile for weight and still in the 95th percentile for height! Too bad her hair isn't growing at that same rate! She is so much fun and completely in the oral stage. She drools all day long and also loves to talk and stick her hands almost completely in her mouth! We're thinking there are some teeth on the way. She does ab crunches in her bouncer all the time but can't quite sit up by herself without falling over yet, but she's close!

Atlanta Trip

Sophie tried to steal the groom, but it didn't work. We've already explained that she has to wait for her turn for at least 21 years!
Great friends!

We went with Sidsie, Derek, and Jensen to the house where Martin Luther King, Jr. was born as well as to an exhibit about his life that was so interesting!

Sophie and mommy flew to Atlanta over the weekend to attend a college roommate's wedding. We had a fabulous time (despite the coooold temperatures!) and had fun visiting Sidsie, Derek, and Jensen and their house, and also getting to see old friends and roommates.

Fun with the Tongue

Sophie discovered her tongue two days ago and has been playing with it ever since. She's fascinated by what she can make it do and will use it to suck in her upper lip and also click it against the roof of her mouth. It's so fun to watch that we had to share it on video with you. Alligator Adventures!

I held a baby alligator while having a boa constrictor around my neck!

Sophie even touched a huge alligator!
She wasn't excited about touching the baby alligator. She let mom and dad do that.

We visited an alligator adventure park that was sort of like a zoo with other neat animals in it like Florida panthers and pythons and peacocks. There were over 200 alligators in the lagoon there, and we got to take a boat ride through it. Scary!

Kennedy Space Center

We learned a lot about NASA and the Space Program and got to see some really cool stuff at Kennedy Space Center while in Florida.

Christmas in Florida

I starred as the baby Jesus in the Nativity we acted out.

I did such a good job on all the plane rides!

We spent Christmas in Florida with the Lambs this year and had many adventures! We saw the Atlantic Ocean and touched alligators and went to the Kennedy Space Center and to Disney World! It was a lot of fun!
