The Witches Are Out!

We had a witchy good time at Gardner Village with Grandma Lamb and Uncle Geoff. The witches are out and in full season there. We've never been there to see the witches before and had a great time. Here's one of the witches we spotted right here!

Sit-A-Spell

Sophie is loving ghosts right now and loved finding some there in the midst of all the witches and pumpkins.
Avery was awfully excited about something!

They even had pony rides, and I couldn't believe that Sophie agreed to go on one. Last time we saw ponies she wouldn't even go near them let alone get on one.

But she had a great time on "Pal" as long as I stayed right next to her.

Wedding Belles

I know I went a good two weeks or so without posting but it was because we've been gone for a while. We've done a lot of stuff the past couple weeks and took a lot of pictures, but it'll probably take me a while to get them all up. Oh well, no rush. We first flew to Utah for Joseph's sister Miya's wedding. So I'll start out by sharing some of the wedding pics we took.Miya and Jake were married in the Jordan River Temple. She's so photogenic. I've honestly never seen a bad picture of her (that is, except for when she's trying for it, like below.)
I love this shot. This is the first time in several years that all the kids have been together at the same time, all home from missions and such. (It hasn't happened since I've known Joseph.) So here's all 10 of them in their natural poses. :) Miya's #9 of 10 and the 6th to get married.
Our family has definitely grown from our own wedding 3 years ago.

We call Avery our little porcelain doll.

Fish and Turtles

We went to a local nursery with our MOMS Club and they had a few ponds filled with koi fish that Sophie got to feed. She thought it was so cool how they swam right up to her to get the food, often even ending up on the rocks out of water.

Four anxious & hungry tutrles came to her to get food and one bold little guy kept coming out of the water to get the food from her hands! It was a little bit too close for me! He didn't do it to any other kids but Sophie! She loved it.

Baby Face

"Baby Face, you've got the cutest little baby face. No one on earth could ever take your place, Baby Face."
I've always loved that song from one of my favorite movie musicals, "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and I sing it to Avery all the time. Today when I was singing it to her I was playing with her hands, too, and she started laughing. I mean a full-on giggle. She did it several times after that, too, and was so adorable. So here are some pictures of my favorite little baby face in the whole wide world.

"I didn't need a shove cuz I just fell in love with your baby face."

2 Years Old!

Sophie turned the big 2 today! She's been acting like a 2-year old for about 9 months now, so it's about time that it's official! :)
Any guesses on what she wanted for her party's theme? Here's the cake I made for it. I like everything but her lips, but I just ran out of time to make those look perfect, so oh well.We celebrated with Sophie's twin and friend Kate who also turned 2 today. Together they got the candles out very nicely. She got an aquadoodle, a puzzle, a ball popper toy, and a water table for presents.

Last week Grandma Bob gave her Bambi and a Tinker Bell shirt that lights up. She also got some great gifts two weeks ago from Grandma Lamb. Thanks so much to both of you!
We blew out some candles for practice last week, and it took a few tries to get it. This is her first attempt.

We sure love this sweet, silly, beautiful 2-year old. Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!
