Beach Bums

Joseph's family is here for the weekend so we took them to the beach today. It was really overcast and a little cold, but still very fun.
Sophie didn't like the cold water and spent most of her time doing her favorite thing: playing in the sand.

We especially liked watching Lee who came home from his mission to Houston, TX last week and has never before been to California or been to the beach in his life.
Avery lovin' her Gramma Jensen time.

I braved the cold water and tried out Joseph's boogie board for the first time. It was a riot! I had 5 good runs and 1 wipeout, so I would count that a success!

Joseph buried Lee up to his neck. Claustrophobia, anyone?

Look, we found this pink seashell on the beach and took it home with us! :) Lucky us!

How fun to spend the day at the beach in September. That is how it was when we lived in Virginia Beach and we love it. When it was snow for everyone else we enjoyed a walk on the beach.

What else can I say other than your babies are beautiful and I LOVE Sophie's red hair.

Looks like it was fun :-)

Too bad I'm already wearing a winter coat...and I have the heat on in my house. I wouldn't mind a little beach time right now.

Love seeing your girls!

I want to go to the beach too! Looks like you had a lot of fun on the boogie board. By the way, you look great! And where can I find one of those pink seashells?
