Pillow Talk

Lately Joseph and I have gotten into a very bad habit.  We have been staying up much later than we should just talking!  It's not always really important stuff, either.  Often we're discussing very ordinary and sometimes ridiculous subjects, though sometimes it does center around what we just read in the scriptures or something a little more serious.  Night after night for the past few weeks we keep doing this, only stopping our chats when we're either too tired to talk anymore or it's just gotten too late.  We obviously are not getting the time in the day when we actually see each other to talk, mostly thanks to a demanding 2-year old who likes to monopolize all time and conversation.  But it's been kind of fun, I have to admit, even though we're both highly sleep-deprived because of it.  I'm just grateful that after 4 years of marriage, we still have a lot to talk about and enjoy each other's company and conversation.  Now if we could just start chatting about 2 hours earlier, we'd be fine. (sigh)  Does it ever get easier to find time for each other? :)

(This is totally me and Joseph.  Wait, I cut my hair recently, but not that short, and it hasn't been that blonde since I was a kid.  I wish I could sing and dance like Doris Day, though!  And Joseph does match the tall, dark, and handsome bit, but that's about all that he and Rock Hudson have in common, if ya know what I mean.  Great movie, though.)

I totally agree with you Becky. Bart and I don't see each other until late and then I really want to just talk, when really I should be going to bed.

Love the picture!

O love that post It is great that you love your hubby so much. You guys are so cute. It does stink though that you have to always sacrifice sleep to be with him.

I loved your post on the reunion. I was not as good to take as many pictures I only got a few:( I should get some from you. We had so so much fun seeing you and loved visiting and seeing your cute girls, never enough time though.

Sorry about the guy at the grocery store:( I really don't care for people like that. I honestly get a comment just about everytime I go out with all my kids, I can't blame people when they see me with 5 tag alongs they feel they have to say something but it is when they are mean (like what that guy did to you) that I can't stand it:)

Your a great Mom keep up the good work!!

Derek and I totally do that too. Last night Derek fell asleep in the middle of a sentence and started talking about what he was dreaming about. It was so funny. I guess we should just go to sleep.

pillow talk is the best! peter and i do the same thing, and it is so fun. it's so fun to have a permanent sleep-over companion. :-)

Isn't it funny how during the course of the conversation you mention several times that you should stop talking and go to sleep because its late, but instead you just keep talking and talking.....at least thats what we do, and the next morning when we are both bushed we vow we are going to go to sleep much earlier tonight...only to repeat the whole process.
