Still Just a Little Peanut

Avery and Sophie both had checkups at the doctor last week, Avery for 15 months and Sophie for 3 years.  They were measured and weighed, and I was surprised to see that Avery is still only just 21 lbs!  She wasn't quite 20 lbs. yet when she had her year checkup, but that means that she's only gained like a pound and a half in 3 months.  I shouldn't be too surprised, though, when neither of my children are good eaters.  Seriously, sometimes I wonder how they survive at all.

Avery is in the 30th percentile for weight, but she's still in the 80th percentile for height!  The doctor said she's still on target to be 5'8" like her mom, while Sophie is looking like she'll be more like 5'5" or 5'6".  That will be a strange day when Avery is taller than Sophie I think.  (And I love this picture of her with her phones!  She loves to call Gramma on the phone.)

She's our little Peanut, but we sure love you, Avery Jane!  Thanks for being our sweet toddler girl!

Hey Becky! Glad to have blog to keep in touch with now. We're currently in Colorado Springs for my husband's second residency rotation for Optometry. We have two more three month rotation and then he'll graduate and offically be a doctor. We head next to Salt Lake then to Washington, but had been in Forest Grove Oregon the last 3 years. We hope to settle back in Utah but the job market isn't looking too promising so we'll see.

As for teaching, I really don't ever intend on going back. I'm trying to keep my license up to date as just a precaution for an unexpected need to but hope never to have to. I subbed in Oregon here and there because it paid well, but other than that I just do what we call mommy school at home.

You're girls are darling and red headed eh. And yes, being a parent of two is busy, to say the least.

Well you look terrific and happy. Glad to see things are going well, I'm envying your weather after our weekend of 18 degrees.

Take care and keep in touch.

we used to joke when Jesse would turn down food, we'd just say "he's good, he breathed today, he got some air!" we were surprised he survived with so little food, but he was in the 5% or less percentile...30% is big according to our family! What a little cutie-girl!

That's crazy that they can tell how tall a kid is going to be as an adult, when they're only 15 months old! Modern medicine, I tell ya..
