I Did Twilight Opening Night

That should have been put on a pin or sticker for me to wear around today to explain my bloodshot eyes and sluggish gait. I don't know why I agreed to go with my friends to the midnight showing of Twilight, but it was actually really fun and I felt like I was just one of the many teens there standing in line 2 hours before the movie began (except that I wasn't wearing a "Team Cullen" or "Team Jacob" or "Team Edward" shirt like most of them were, and probably none of them had to wake up at 6:45 am to take care of kids all day, with no nap. Their parents simply let them skip Seminary, school, etc.... And they're not almost 30 like me!) It was worth the sacrifice, though. We had a great time and I really liked the movie. Of course, I went into it with very low expectations since I knew nothing could measure up to what I'd imagined in my own mind from reading the books, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well they did. I really liked Robert Pattinson as Edward, probably even more than Kristen Stewart's Bella. It was fun and romantic and perfect for a girl's night out since my hubby wasn't about to come with me (even though he's read all the books! Yes, ladies, he mostly read them to indulge me so we could discuss them, but he read all 4! And even that wouldn't convince him that he wanted to come see it with me in the theater.) So if you're undecided, just see it--you might not be disappointed after all.

Good for you. I would've been up for it but the friends I am going with -thought it would be too crowded- lame, lame, lame- so we are going on Tuesday. I can't believe Joseph read all four books- what a sweet husband- really he deserves a pat on the back for that!

I was one of the spoilsports who disliked Breaking Dawn so much that it kind of ruined my love for the whole series...still, I want to see this movie. I'm glad to hear it wasn't a disappointment. I'll have to see if I can get Brian to go with me.

You are hard core Becky! There's no way I could miss out on so much sleep, but my older sister went to the opening night as well.

Also, thanks for the recommendations on your last post. I will have to try out that fall soup.

Oh, and by the way, I'll have to run Prescott by Bart, but I hadn't even thought of that name. We'll let you know.

I laughed when I read that you didn't know how the girls talked you into going to opening night... of course you'd go, you are adventurous and good at getting to things, you've even talked me into a few opening nights! You are one of the first people I thought of that would give a report to say if it was good or not. I also was disappointed in the last book and unsure about how they can make the movie.
