Olvera Street

We had been promising Joseph for months that we would come down to visit him at work and see Olvera Street that's not too far away. I don't know why I waited until I was 6 months pregnant to do it, but better late than never.

Olvera Street isn't too long, but it does make you feel like you're suddenly transported to some little street in Mexico! We met Joseph for lunch and ate some yummy Mexican food, including cactus tacos for Joseph (which he said are really quite good).

I think the girls' favorite part was riding the train downtown. We took the Gold Line in and they loved it. We were especially excited to have Uncle Geoff along for the ride. He was a good sport to accompany us down there for the day while he was here on vacation. The girls sure love their Uncle Geoff.

We ended the day with a trip to Joseph's office to see where all the magic happens. He's on the 13th floor of the Bank of America Building. The girls loved checking it all out and I think Avery touched absolutely everything in there, especially the computers. We had a fun trip and enjoyed seeing the route that Joseph takes every day to get to work and back, including buses, trains, shuttles, and a subway.
